With a total of 11 shows in 7 cities (Sapporo, Sendai, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka), the concert tour “HYDE LIVE 2020-2021 ANTI WIRE” marked the start of celebrations for the 20th anniversary of HYDE’s solo career in 2021. From this concert tour, footage of the concert held at the Tokyo International Forum on January 31, 2021 (Sun) will be released on Blu-ray/DVD!
Despite being labeled an acoustic tour, this concert tour far surpassed the image one would have of an acoustic concert. Precisely in this current situation, the tour presented “acoustic concerts where everyone can make some noise without uttering a single word”.
With a setlist containing not only songs from HYDE’s solo career but also hits from VAMPS and L’Arc-en-Ciel, and covers, each song took on a different color from its original with funky grooves or a mellow city pop feel. Emotionally aggressive tunes were turned into beautiful ballads. There may never be another time when so many songs rearranged in such innovative ways will be performed again… This Blu-ray/DVD contains footage of a concert of such rarity.
